For Thanksgiving this year, I wanted to impress my family members with a fun, tasty, sparkling (and key word: affordable) wine, and while browsing the aisles of Trader Joe’s, I believe I found a great option. I grabbed a bottle of the grocery store chain‘s French Sparkling Brut Rosé, which was priced at a doable $6.99 and importantly, only available for a limited time, as noted on their website. Trader Joe's Tasty French Sparkling Brut Rosé
While Trader Joe's offers a myriad of decently priced and delicious wines, this choice instantly caught my eye as a ride-or-die rosé fan— from its elegant packaging to its riveting online description. According to the grocery store giant's website, this wine was "developed as a complement" to their other best-selling sparkling wine, Trader Joe’s French Brut Blanc de Blancs. (Which is, honestly, equally as great, but maybe suited best for pairing with dessert)
This rosé is made with a "proprietary blend of grapes grown on the French coast of the Mediterranean Sea," according to Trader Joe's, and the blend offers a "little more depth, fruit, and body" than the go-to choice of many customers— the Blanc de Blanc— yet it still maintains those "classic, creamy bubbles and that crisp, clean finish." This means that (in my humble opinion), this wine could make a tasty addition to Thanksgiving dinner or hors d'oeuvres, while the Blanc de Blancs wine could go well with a classic pie or other Turkey Day dessert.
The latter wine, according to TJ's, is complete with “festive notes of butter and cake,” and this fruity choice could be enjoyed after dinner— either before or with your favorite pumpkin or apple pie. Overall, Thanksgiving is a great time to make traditions for your family, and grabbing a $7 wine from your local store could be a fun way to celebrate the beloved autumn holiday every year.
Happy Thanksgiving!
