How often do you find your iPhone running out storage or coming dangerously close to doing so? You aren’t alone. Storage issues are a big burden for many of us, and the fact that so many of the most popular apps (like Instagram or those than use GPS) take up so much storage space isn’t helping matters. After you’ve deleted every photo you can think of, stored media files in iCloud, deleted apps, and still find yourself running out of space, what can you do? The simple solution is to throw money at the problem. Apple has no problem offering more iCloud storage space, at a cost. But at a certain point that’s going to become expensive and you may be struggling to find other, more affordable ways, to keep up with your storage needs.
You’re in luck:

According to the Apple experts, there is one super-smart thing you can do to gain storage space, and this tip doesn’t involve paying for iCloud storage.
Buy an SD Card Adapter
An SD Card adapter can cost as little as $19 and allows you to read and transfer data from the SD card (like documents, videos, and photos) directly to your iPhone. The adapter connects to your phone via its lightning port or USB-C port and you simply insert the SD card with your data into the adapter. You can then use your files app or a third-party app to view the files and transfer them over.
An SD Card may seem like a prehistoric accessory at first, but it’s unbelievably convenient for anyone who stores a lot of files (especially media files that take up so much space). Instead of being constantly reminded by Apple that your storage is about to run out and you need to either delete files in a hurry or buy more space, this offers you an alternative way to save more files without spending more money.
