More Walmart stores have been approved to distribute the Covid-19 vaccine!
A local Texas affiliate confirmed the news on Twitter January 27th, after receiving a statement from Walmart. Among the nationwide list of Walmart stores approved for the rollout were three local stores in North Texas. So exciting!

NBC 5 of North Texas revealed that the Arkansas-based box store had sent them a statement confirming that stores in Mansfield, Lancaster and Terrell would be able to dole out the life-saving vaccination.

Both Walmart and Sam's Club "will be working to set up an online system where people can register for the vaccine," the news affiliate revealed. Although the system is not currently in place, it will be coming soon according to the company.

Of course, only those eligible under state guidelines will be able to receive the vaccine at these and any Walmart locations.
In Texas, for example, only individuals in groups 1A and 1B are eligible to be vaccinated, including frontline workers and those 65 and older (or with a chronic health condition).
