Hitting weight plateau is mainly a reflection of how smart and efficient the body is in adapting to a dietary regimen. Typically, people will lose weight when there is a change in caloric intake. Some people lose weight for weeks, while others will hit a plateau. Weight plateau is adaptation and the body getting used to the change.
One way of getting off a plateau is simply changing the composition of foods you are eating. This can be a mild to moderate drop of total calories to jumpstart the body in secreting different hormones and enzymes to metabolize. (You also can try these plant-based proteins or supplements to supercharge your metabolism.) This should be short term, as under eating calories can put your risk in losing muscle mass.
