Wendy’s launched their new Saucy Nuggets and some customers have been left wondering if some locations missed the memo. Customers have taken to social media to share their Saucy Nugget experience, but there is one key component missing – the sauce.
The fast food chain announced on their Instagram that “something saucy is coming” on May 31st. Wendy’s fans flooded the comments saying “yo this might be fire” and “this is why I love Wendy’s,” only for some to be disappointed with the reality of the new nugget option.
One fan took to X to share a picture of their under-sauced nuggets, saying, “@Wendys This is criminal i’m suing you guys. ‘Saucy Nuggets’ My a-s.”

Wendy’s Customers Are ‘Disappointed’ With New Saucy Nuggets
Other customers seem to be experiencing a similar reality to this user or even receiving an order with sauce on the side, like one user who said, “Is this what we’re being upcharged $1.20 for?”
@DigiRanger1994’s post included a picture of what appears to be normal Wendy’s nuggets with sauces on the side.
“Hey @Wendys is this what the Saucy Nuggs are supposed to be everywhere,” the user said, referring to his order, which did not look like the advertisements. “Served as plain nuggets with sauce on the side?”
In an advertisement for the new release shared to Instagram on June 3rd, the company jokingly added the sauce to their new nuggets after every step, including on the box holding the nuggets, after adding the napkins and even on the hand holding the to-go bag.
Users took to Reddit to discuss the reality of the new menu item. One user said "I was really thinking I wanted these. I didn’t realize it was just them dipping them for me."
"Yeah I was pretty disappointed i decided to get both bbq and garlic parmesan and they looked nothing like in the menu," another disappointed fan chimed in. "The garlic parm was dry and the bbq looked exactly like this pic."
"It looked like they tossed the bbq from across the room and barely missed."
