Are you a Wendy’s and Girl Scouts cookie fan? You’re in luck. The fast food giant is launching a new Frosty flavor just after Valentine’s Day, but it’s not red velvet! After weeks of speculation, Wendy’s is debuting a Thin Mints Frosty, created in partnership with the Girl Scouts.
This new treat draws inspiration from the beloved Thin Mints cookie, blending a minty and chocolatey flavor. The Thin Mints sauce, which graces both the sides and top of the Frosty cup, has a texture reminiscent of cookie butter, offering the signature taste and crunch of the Girl Scout cookie, according to AllRecipes.

Wendy’s Unveils A New February Frosty Flavor—And It’s Not Red Velvet For Valentine’s Day—It’s Inspired By Girl Scouts Thin Mints!
The tastes of Thin Mints and Frosty combine in both the Chocolate and Vanilla Frosty, which means the Vanilla Frosty will remain available for this release. In time for the 2025 Girl Scout cookie season, Wendy’s will introduce the new Thin Mints Frosty in restaurants across the country starting February 21st, available for a limited period.
According to a press release, the new treat has a “crumbly, cookie butter-esque texture.” As seen on social media, fans can’t wait to try the new Frosty. After hearing the news, one user wrote on Instagram: “It’s official and I’m crying minty tears of joy!” Another added: “I love how there’s a choice between chocolate and vanilla.” Someone else noted: “Nobody wanna wait until February 21st!!!” An additional fan shared: “Can’t wait” as one other concurred: “Mmmm so excited!”
The Frosty dessert has been a beloved part of Wendy’s menu for over five decades. It was one of the original five items offered when Wendy’s first opened and remains a favorite to this day. The Frosty was developed in 1969 through a collaboration between Fred Kappus, CEO of the Ohio-based Kappus Company, and Dave Thomas, Wendy’s founder.
Thomas wanted a frozen dairy dessert for his new burger joint and reached out to Kappus, who supplied ice cream machines. His instinct proved right, resulting in the creation of the Frosty. More than fifty years later, Kappus continues to provide Frosty machines to Wendy’s locations globally. (We're marking our calendars for February 21st!)
