The Vanilla Frosty Returns To Wendy’s—And Replaces The Hit Peppermint Flavor
As the holiday season recently came to a close, Wendy’s customers are saying farewell to the Peppermint Frosty, made with a classic vanilla base mixed with peppermint syrup. The drink first hit the menu in November of 2022 and was an instant hit among Wendy’s customers on social media.
Before this, fans sipped on the Strawberry Frosty offered in summer 2022, the first flavor change in three years. The limited-time treat also garnered positive reactions from Wendy’s lovers, and was made with a quintessential Frosty base and fruity flavoring.

The Wendy’s Frosty as we know it now was part of the original 1969 location in Columbus, Ohio. According to the company, the Frosty formula was inspired by ice cream that a race track in Cleveland had in the 1960s. The vanilla flavor, as seen in celebratory tweets, is perhaps the most iconic, followed by chocolate. Some say that the vanilla Frosty has a touch of chocolate in it, which keeps many coming back for more.
As the chain wrote in an Instagram announcement, “WOO! The Vanilla Frosty is BACK at Wendy’s! Sadly, the delicious Peppermint Frosty is now off the menu. Are you excited to grab a Vanilla Frosty?! Feels like it has been forever!”
