It’s no surprise Isabel Marant jumped on the sporty sandal bandwagon with her Birkenstock-like Holden Cross-front Slides ($510) (which are still available online, despite common belief.) She’s not only always up on the latest shoe trends, she creates them. Remember when she started the whole sneaker wedge craze in 2012? Her shoes were worn by tons of celebrities, including Cameron Diaz, and knocked-off by just about every designer.
But according to an interview with WWD, Marant is soooo over her sneaker wedges. It’s about time we got a new style from this lady! Her Holden Slides are just what we needed, an on-trend spring/summer sandal from the master of all shoes. They’re meant to mold perfectly to your foot making them SUPER comfy, and they are obviously perfect for lounging by the pool or strolling around the city. But will these reach the same cult status as her sneaker wedges? We’ll just have to wait and see. They are bound to start popping up on the feet of celebs, and bloggers like Charlie May already have a pair. So get yours now before they sell out!
