Sweaters are one of the most difficult clothing items to wash since they’re so prone to unraveling and pilling. No matter how hard your try and how closely you follow their washing instructions, sometimes sweaters can still give you trouble. Have you ever had one of your favorite sweaters get all those little pill balls on it? When this happened, you probably thought it was unwearable, but it’s not. We found a solution to get the pills off of your sweaters so you can wash them normally and wear them for multiple fall and winter seasons instead of just one.
The secret: Shave the pills off with a razor. All you have to do is lay your sweater on a flat surface and shave it just like you would shave the hair off of your legs. Shave the affected areas gently (don’t press too hard or you might make a hole) until all the pills are gone. It’s as simple as that. We promise it works! You can even use this method on tee shirts and sheets too. Check out the before and after pictures below.
