I took Jeep’s Travel Tandem Stroller out for a spin for this installment of MomTested. There were a few big pluses right from the start. First, despite its size, the stroller was relatively easy to put together. The rear sunshade did give me some trouble, though. Folded up, this double stoller takes up significantly less room than other double strollers I’ve tested. Unbelievably, it’s about the same size as my old single travel system.
Another big bonus is the ample storage space beneath the baby. I can’t say enough about storage space when it comes to strollers–that’s half the reason I use one–and this Jeep model has a great size bin.
Lastly, the handlebars adjusts for taller or shorter moms. So nice for your back.
Now, for the negatives. I’ve had problems turning the front wheels of a few Jeep strollers I’ve tried and this double stroller was no exception. As long as you’re going straight, it’s no problem, but that added length makes it really difficult to turn right or left.
Another drawback: The front canopy hangs low, making it easy for the child in the back to grab it.
And this goes without saying, but can you say heavy? To be fair, all double strollers weigh a ton, but I had to note this because my back is still aching.
