Women have been wearing pants for quite some time now but there is one in particular who had the balls to completely rag on her male counterparts and look better than them in their own gear: Katharine Hepburn. To this day, she is still a strong reference for others on how to show up the boys while still looking perfectly ladylike. These days, it seems designers are all drawing references from Katharine and Diane Keaton in the iconic flick, Annie Hall. We’ve chosen some great pieces with a hint of masculinity and the ability to still express your femininity.
There’s nothing more classic than when a man dons a well fitted suit. In today’s modern world, a blazer can also help achieve such a polished look. Check out this menswear blazer ($58) with shrunken sleeves from Urban Outfitters.
The button down shirt has always helped guys look so crisp. Gap responds well with their Boyfriend banker shirt ($54.50) in the solid blue shown here as well as a dark blue striped version.
While Hepburn literally wore men’s trousers, you can still achieve the same look with these oversized black trousers ($350) cur for your body.
Try the Fred flat ($595), Christian Louboutin’s spin on the traditional oxford. For almost $600, I imagine you could make them match with not only your trousers but jeans, shorts and possibly a dress.
