The other day I saw a little girl playing in the street without shoes. No, it wasn’t Suri Cruise, but yes, even she’s been snapped barefoot in public. If you want to get sand between your toes on the beach or feel the grass on your feet at the park, that’s fine. But to go barefoot on the sidewalk or in the street? That’s just wrong. What if she stepped in someone’s chewed gum? Yuck. Or worse, what if she had stepped on some broken glass, or a screw or even a little rock? If you’ve ever stepped on a LEGO you know what pain I’m talking about.
As all the what ifs went through my mind, it dawned on me: the same arguments could be made about walking barefoot at the beach or at the playground. So to be safe, moms, put some shoes on your kids. You might as well keep those precious little feet protected, right? Here are some cute summer shoes that are easy enough to slip on and off.
Crocs Kids Crocband ($30)
