I don’t want to start the new year complaining, but what is it with stores already displaying items for Valentine’s Day? I went to Target last week to buy diapers, and found not one, but two aisles fully stocked with Valentine’s Day gifts. There were chocolates, stuffed animals, greeting cards, you name it.
Call me grumpy, but I’m not in the mood for love…yet. I still have my Christmas decorations up for goodness sake! Give me a few weeks to recover from the hectic holidays, and then we can talk about Valentine’s Day.
