Scarlett Johansson effortlessly combined sophistication and ease by donning a chic black pantsuit and a simple, elegant white T-shirt at the screening of her friend June Squibb’s film Thelma in New York City.
The Academy Award–winning actress and fashion maven, 40, also took the opportunity last week to promote Eleanor the Great, the upcoming drama she is directing for the first time, with a script penned by Tory Kamen. The film features performances by Squibb, 95, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht, and Erin Kellyman.

At the event, Johansson and Squibb discussed Thelma, the acclaimed 2024 comedy-drama that Squibb stars in. Fans on social media are still admiring the Black Widow actress for her understated and sophisticated get-up, as well as her natural glamor during her recent public appearance.
For the screening, the Marriage Story alum paired her double-breasted blazer with matching trousers and patent leather loafers. To complete her look, Johansson added a beaded necklace, sparkling stacked bracelets, several small hoop and stud earrings, and a few shimmering rings, as seen in fan-shot footage uploaded to X and TikTok.

As for her glam, the mom of two wore her signature dirty blonde tresses in a slicked-back bun. The outfit featured a Max Mara double-breasted blazer paired with tailored slim-fit trousers, all layered over a relaxed turtleneck. Each item harmonized beautifully in shades of copper brown.
One month prior, she was spotted by paparazzi in the Big Apple while donning a stylish blue pantsuit ensemble, complete with a blazer, matching trousers, a white tank top, and white sneakers.
