Are you one of those people who keeps lip balm in multiple locations? I know I do. The reason some people find themselves "addicted" to lip balm is because there are addictive ingredients in most common brands. If your lip balm contains menthol, phenol, or camphor, chances are you're applying lip balm more often than you should be. Why? These ingredients may seem soothing but they are actually drying out your lips, which causes you to apply more product. The same goes for salicylic acid and alcohol.
