While strolling down the Champs-Elysées in Paris this October, I knew something big was happening. I just didn’t know what or how big at the time. I saw lots of beefy security guards, a gated makeshift walkway and important-looking people with packages in hand. Come to find out a revamped Louis Vuitton store – now the largest in the world – was opening. Reportedly, it’s now also the largest luxury store of any retailer, measuring about 1,800 square meters. Commemorating it’s one-of-a-kind status, the store launched a new LV eyewear collection, the first Louis Vuitton book store and limited edition mini LV handbags, ranging in price between $725 and $900. Want one? Too bad. The minis sold out, as did the store’s priciest item, a white and yellow diamond necklace, which went for a mere $399,000.
