When it comes to shorts, I’ve always been a denim cutoffs girl. Given my affinity for jeans, they were the obvious choice when summer hit. But this isn’t any ordinary summer. Though it is definitely hot, I’m spending a lot more time in my own apartment and putting on my high waist denim shorts every day just seems, well, silly.
So, I went on the hunt for shorts that were a bit more comfortable (and a bit less constricting), but just as cute and stylish. And I landed on these Terry Sweatshorts by Richer Poorer.

If you’re not familiar with Richer Poorer, they make the best basics. Their bralettes are ridiculously comfortable and the their tees are so amazingly soft. And these sweatshorts are just as good as everything else I own from the brand. The material is the perfect in-between weight that’s not too heavy on a hot summer day, but not so thin that I’m worried about showing too much. Also, the elastic waistband? Yes, please! There are also slightly scalloped side seams that make your legs looks great.
I have these shorts in the green color, but I’m so completely in love with them that I’m seriously considering ordering the other two colors. They’re so soft and comfortable and basically the only thing I want to put on these days.
