Some trendistas fêted Fashion Week at Tenjune (a venue so IT, IT’s not open to the public yet). I opted out, on account of having a headache, needing to wash my hair, and my Bible study meeting. Shut up, I was too invited.
I instead joined a bevy of fashionistas and beauty blogistas at Lotus (a club whose fabled exclusivity has faded). Fashiontribes editor, Lesley Scott, managed mission impossible in a smart ensemble that pulled together elements from each of her tribes. The bagistas from bagtrends.com had such hot heels that they should really think about expanding into shoes. With hands wrapped around Bacardi cocktails, it was a good soiree for us typistas usually stuck behind laptops.

White after Labor Day? Why not! But layeristas beware, you could end up looking like Lindsey Lohan dressed you with Mischa Barton’s spring ’05 hand-me-downs which orginally came from a Sienna thrift store jaunt in Camden. It’s a trend only a real artista should attempt.
If you want to know what’s in those pink and white gift bags, it’s a book(One Woman’s Adventures in Vintage Clothing, written by two(?) women), a piece of organic chocolate (not big enough to fill Annie Rex’s tummy), a vial of Bond No. 9 (a few drops to get your scent-ses started) and a newsletter with a positive message, “Keep Your Chin Up-” (how nice!) “Consider Power Liposuction.” Oh. I really came for the bags, booze and to watch skinny girls go grubista on the spring rolls.
Surfistas, go visit these sites:
