Apple Is Reportedly Coming Out With A Foldable iPhone By The End Of 2026

Back in the day, many, many people carried around flip phones, and some have been missing out on the sensation of being able to fold up your device before sticking it in your pocket or bag. Additionally, some smartphone users have been complaining of a lack of screen space, wanting more for better visuals, tools, etc.

Therefore, Samsung came out with their own foldable phone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which first came out in 2019. Since then, they've continued developing their devices and are even on track to release a Fold and Flip 8 phone this summer.

"The Galaxy Z Fold7 is our slimmest, lightest, and most durable smartphone yet in the Samsung folding phone series," they wrote in a statement about their latest model. Now, it looks like it's Apple's turn, as tech outlets are reporting that the infamous tech company will be coming out with its own foldable phone this year.

Though they haven't officially confirmed it, publications like Bloomberg believe the foldable iPhone is on track to be released in September of this year, along with iPhone 18 products.

Users React To The Foldable iPhone Reports On Social Media

The alleged foldable iPhone is causing quite a stir online, with social media users and both iPhone and Android users weighing in on the situation. Not only are there some Apple customers pushing against the idea, finding a foldable iPhone to be unnecessary, but others are also calling out the tech giant for 'copying' Samsung.

They left comments criticizing both the idea and the copycat notion on platforms like Instagram.

"They love copying Samsung and Motorola," commented a user.

"Who asked for a foldable phone?" asked another, as a user added, "Nobody wanted this, and nobody wants a flip cell phone that unfolds into a square."

"This will be the downfall of iPhone for sure," wrote a user.

We'll be curious to see what Apple has to say about their alleged upcoming release, and if even more users start to fill their social media feeds with backlash and criticism.
