Summer may be just around the corner, but spring florals are still blooming on the red carpet. At the 2026 Tony Awards, some of the night’s best-dressed stars proved that the beloved spring print isn’t going anywhere as fashion transitions into the warmer months.

Held on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the 79th annual Tony Awards brought together Broadway’s biggest stars, Hollywood A-listers, presenters, and performers. Among the standout trends of the evening was a wave of floral-inspired looks, ranging from subtle embroidered details to bold botanical prints. Stars including Sarah Paulson, Kelly Ripa, and Anna Wintour each put their own spin on the timeless trend.

Sarah Paulson

Paulson embraced several of the season's biggest fashion trends in one look. The actress wore a color-blocked tea-length Erdem dress from the designer's Fall/Winter 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection.

The gown featured a plunging embroidered ivory bodice paired with a crinkled pink drop-waist skirt, tapping into the growing popularity of textured fabrics. Two oversized red bows sat at the hips, adding a dramatic touch. Delicate floral embellishments cascaded throughout the dress in the form of colorful sequined petals and blossoms. She completed the look with crystal-covered Aquazzura "Tequila 105" sandals and casually tucked her hands into the dress's pockets for an effortlessly chic finish.

Kelly Ripa

Ripa opted for a more classic interpretation of the floral trend in a figure-hugging column gown covered in an allover blue floral print.

The deep blue dress was accented with pink, yellow, and light blue flowers, creating a vibrant yet elegant contrast. Featuring cap sleeves and a coordinating belt that subtly cinched her waist, the gown struck a balance between timeless and modern. The talk show host accessorized with a black clutch and a sparkling diamond necklace while attending the event alongside her husband, Mark Consuelos.

Anna Wintour

If anyone can officially endorse a fashion trend, it's Wintour. The former Vogue editor arrived in a floral Dior gown featuring the brand's Bloom Tapestry motif.

The cream-colored silk dress showcased intricate botanical artwork throughout, with painted flowers in shades of red, purple, and green stretching across the front of the design. Delicate floral appliqués added texture and dimension, while a folded black fabric detail across the chest provided contrast. Wintour finished the look with matching cream-colored heels, proving that florals can feel just as sophisticated as they are seasonal.

From embroidered petals to head-to-toe botanical prints, the 2026 Tony Awards made one thing clear: florals remain a red-carpet favorite as fashion moves from spring into summer.
