Ben Affleck And His Jennifers
So which Jennifer came first? Jennifer Lopez. The pair first met back in 2002 on the set of their movie, Gigli, and by November, they were engaged. But sadly, they split before the ceremony even happened, in January of 2004. By summertime, Ben had moved on. Enter, the other Jennifer.
Ben and Jennifer Garner got married less than a year later, in June 2005, and soon had three children together, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Meanwhile, Lopez married Marc Anthony in 2004, and they had two kids of their own, Max and Emme. But, their marriage ended as well, in July 2011.
Jennifer had one more engagement before rekindling things with Affleck, to former MLB star Alex Rodriguez. The pair split in 2021, just three years after Affleck and Jennifer Garner finalized their divorce.
It didn't take long for Lopez and Affleck to find their way back to one another, and were officially back together in April of 2021, and engaged by April of 2022. This time, though they actually wed, in a private ceremony in July of that same year.
Ben and his ex-wife have remained friends and have been spotted together often on outings with their kids. Other than a few bumps in the road here and there (re: Ben's substance abuse issues), they're as good of friends that co-parents and exes can be.

Since Affleck and Lopez got back together, Ben has been spotted numerous times looking sad, angry, frustrated, or upset while with Lopez. Though JLo cleared things up at this year's Golden Globes, attributing Ben's facial expressions to his desire for more privacy, fans can't help but notice that he always seems to have a smile on his face with Jennifer Garner.
Recent paparazzi pictures show the ex-couple picking their kids up from school together, with Jennifer dressed casually in black athleisure and Ben sporting a red jacket with jeans. Both appear to be in great spirits, a rare sight for Ben.
Page Six posted these photos on Instagram, and fans have since ran to the comment section to share their thoughts. "It's strange how happy he seems standing with this Jennifer," one person wrote. "But looks mad with the other Jennifer."
"It's the only time he smiles," another person pointed out.
"Never smiles when he's around his current wife," another added.
