Today, we keep seeing “ugly” fashion become the next celebrity obsession. We’re not sure where it all started, but somewhere between dad sneakers going viral and cycle shades becoming stylish, spandex biker shorts became the next biggest fashion trend in Hollywood. Why? Well, we’re not sure.

Yes, biker shorts–like the ones you’re supposed to wear for cycling–are now totally a thing and celebrities can’t get enough of them. Everyone from Kim Kardashian (who may or may not be responsible for starting the trend), to Hailey Baldwin, Emily Ratajkowski, and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner group have been spotted in this sporty attire.

We’ve seen stars wear these biker shorts in every way imaginable, styled with other athleisure apparel and even worn with slingback pumps and a houndstooth blazer (we’re looking at you Bella Hadid).
