The 33-year-old Oscar-winning actress actually made us fall in love with shirt dresses last year, when she was spotted at a No Hard Feelings photocall in Madrid in a chic white Alaïa shirt dress. And we've fallen back in love with them ever since!
While shirt dresses are a great thing to wear if you're going for an oversized/non-fitted aesthetic, the Don't Look Up star's look was actually more fitted thanks to the waist-cinching black corset belt that came with the dress. She accessorized with black Manolo Blahnik mules to complement the belt perfectly.
Dakota Fanning
The 30-year-old Watchers actress rocked a stunning Simkhai wrap effect ivory shirt dress back in March when she was visiting Good Morning America to promote her new Netflix series, Ripley.
The blonde beauty's dress came with a feminine wrap skirt in the same color, which makes it a slightly more modest interpretation of the traditional shirt dress which typically comes in a shorter length. Dakota still showed a lot of skin though, as the wrap skirt, mimicking a sarong, allowed the actress to flash her long pins. She finished the look off with some summery gold Manolo Blahnik heels.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Another midi-length shirt dress to fall in love with! We can always rely on the 51-year-old Goop founder for sartorial inspiration, and we found ourselves enamored with the pale blue shirt dress she wore in an Instagram carousel back in April.
The super-chic dress hails from Sa Su Phi, and is an updated take on the conventional shirt dress thanks to its short sleeves, belt, and long flowing hem. Paltrow's blonde locks were worn in a sleek and straight down do. We would love to see her wear this shirt dress while out and about to see what footwear and other accessories she would team it with!
Shay Mitchell
The 37-year-old Pretty Little Liars alum stepped out in one of the more traditional versions of the shirt dress, and teamed it with some elegant black Gia Borghini kitten heels and a matching black shoulder bag.
Mitchell's shirt dress was oversized, came with long sleeves, and finished well above the knees to allow her to flaunt her seemingly endless legs. We're obsessed with the super-daring plunging front, too! She chose to forgo necklaces, and instead accessorized with some bold hoop earrings, as well as some black sunglasses.
