Dr. Carolyn Williams, a certified dietitian from Alabama, told the Daily Mail that Trump's recent weight loss could pose new health risks.
She noted a significant reduction, especially in the abdominal area where harmful fat is stored. Williams also questioned whether the former Apprentice star's weight loss method was truly healthy.
She added that skipping meals due to a hectic schedule or stress is not sustainable.
If this is the case, Trump could be missing key nutrients like fiber, potassium, calcium, and vitamin D, unless his meals are consistently nutrient-rich when he does eat.
In November 2023, the father of five shared a letter from his physician that indicated he was in "excellent health."
It also noted that Trump "will continue to enjoy a healthy active lifestyle for many years." Dr. Bruce Aronwald, an osteopathic physician based in New Jersey, stated in his announcement: "President Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and continued daily physical activity while maintaining a rigorous schedule."
The doctor added: "His physical exams were well within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional." On January 20th, Trump will officially become president of the United States by taking the presidential oath of office at the US Capitol.
