"If you are in a relationship, you have to talk to each other and you have to be forever generous," Blunt shared with the publication, stressing the importance of healthy communication and effort.
The Devil Wears Prada star added: "The best relationships that I have seen of my friends, and hopefully that I am in, is that you can’t clip each other’s wings."
The Oppenheimer alum continued: "You have to really empower the other one to be everything they can be."
Blunt and Krasinski began dating in November 2008, got engaged in August 2009, and officially tied the knot in Como, Italy in July 2010. They welcomed their first daughter Hazel in February of 2014 and their second, Violet, in June of 2016.
At the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film, The Fall Guy, back in April, Blunt was also asked about her marriage to Krasinski, which has spanned nearly 14 years.
Given their whirlwind Hollywood careers, Blunt emphasized how crucial it is for her and her husband to carve out moments for each other, no matter how often they're separated by their demanding schedules.
"Oh my God, we're like anyone else, really. You just have to keep checking in. You just have to stay connected," she dished to reporters at the Dolby Theater, as per People Magazine.
Last month, Blunt wowed onlookers at the SVA Theater in New York City during the red carpet premiere of her husband's animated film, If, which took place on May 13th. Krasinski didn't just write, produce, and direct the film; he also lent his voice to one of its characters.
Blunt, showcasing her own vocal talents, voiced a character as well. She turned heads in a stunning pink Roberto Cavalli gown, featuring graceful, billowing long sleeves and a bold, plunging neckline.
This isn't the first time Blunt and Krasinski have teamed up on a project; they both starred in the 2018 horror/thriller, A Quiet Place, also directed by Krasinski.
