Fans were hoping it wouldn’t come to this, but Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady are reportedly in talks with divorce lawyers after failing to resolve their differences following a big fight about Brady returning to professional football after briefly retiring.
The 42-year-old supermodel – who was recently spotted in public without her wedding ring! – and the 45-year-old NFL player are currently living separately in Florida, and are reportedly working with divorce lawyers to try and separate their assets, which include a $26 million property portfolio. Their most recent purchase was reportedly a $17M home in Miami on Indian Creek Island (otherwise known as ‘Billionaire Bunker’) but the Brazilian super is said to be worth a *lot* more than her husband, as she is reportedly worth around $400M, while the NFL star reportedly has a $250M fortune. This could get messy!

“I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it is,” an insider told Page Six. “I don’t think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”
The couple, who have been married since 2009, share son Benjamin Rein, 12, and daughter Vivian Lake, 9 (Brady is also the father of son John Edward, 15, who he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan) and it’s thought that they are also discussing custody arrangements for the children. As they are both said to be very involved in their children’s lives, it’s looking like joint custody would be the preferred option for both of them.

In September, a source told People that Tom and Gisele had been living apart for over a month, but rumors of trouble in paradise first started a few months before that, after the supermodel was unhappy that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback took himself out of retirement after just 40 days.
“There’s a lot of tension. She was so happy when he announced his retirement, and she wasn’t thrilled at all when he went back on that,” an insider previously shared with People. “They’re hitting a rough patch, but I know they’re trying, or at least he’s trying, to figure it out and make it work. He wants to get through this and for things to get better.”

"They decided together that Brady would retire, and then he decided by himself that he'd come back," another source previously told People. "She said they'd talk about it more, but then he came back anyway before they had really talked it all through. She's a very 'pros vs cons' person, and she sees very few pros to him playing anymore."
Another source echoed this, while also suggesting that the retirement may not be the only issue between the couple, telling Page Six: "As with many marriages, it’s not just one thing. Gisele has made it clear that she worried about Tom playing football and that they had had many talks about it. But they have had a series of blowups over the past few years, and this time it looks like there’s no going back."
