Leonardo DiCaprio Flees On A Private Jet Despite Being A ‘Climate Champion’
Last Friday, DiCaprio and Ceretti were spotting exiting a private jet in Cabo San Lucas, apparently taking refuge from the wildfires in Mexico. In the photos snapped by paparazzi, DiCaprio didn’t even appear to be trying to hide his choice to take a private plane, dressed in a casual hoodie and baseball cap, while his girlfriend at least made an attempt to go incognito, dressed in an all-black outfit.
This choice comes after the 50-year-old pronounced himself as a “climate warrior” or a “climate champion,” on numerous occasions. DiCaprio has reportedly funded over $80M in grants for climate change and often promotes eco-friendly initiatives and environmental conservation efforts on his Instagram page.

Fans Slam Leonardo DiCaprio For 'Hypocritical' Evacuation Method
For someone so passionate about the environment, it was surely an interesting move to take a private jet. For context, most private jets burn at least 239 gallons of fuel per hour, which translates to more carbon emissions in 2 hours than the average person's yearly carbon emissions. With this in mind, social media users on X, TikTok, and Instagram are slamming DiCaprio as a "hypocrite" and a "fraud."
