Miley Cyrus is back in action and, in addition to riding off the highs of her latest album release, is bringing back one of her most beloved roles. To promote the upcoming Hannah Montana anniversary special, the singer posed for a cover shoot for Variety magazine.
In the photoshoot, she wore Hannah-inspired outfits, and on the cover, an extravagant bejeweled top. During her interview, she shared her excitement for the special and even a bit of sneaky advice her famous godmother, Dolly Parton, gave her. Read more about her shoot below.

Fans of the Disney alum are counting down the days until the 20th anniversary special of Hannah Montana, the show that put her name on the map and changed her life forever. This will be the first time the singer returns to the set and dons some of her Hannah Montana outfits since the series ended in 2011.
Though once the show was over, Miley was ready to spread her wings and focus on her music career, she still talks about the show fondly, and opened up about what led her to make the special happen during her cover story interview for Variety.
For the cover shoot, she wore a lot of outfits that were reminiscent of her Hannah days, but her cover photo look was quite dramatic. She had on a bejeweled top made from different gemstones and all sorts of tiny diamonds. Though the top covered her chest, there were lots of cutouts that showed off her fit figure. The top was paired with black pants, and she had her blonde locks styled similarly to her original Hannah Montana wig.

Those who have been fans of the 33-year-old star are likely aware that she has a super-famous godmother - country icon Dolly Parton.
The two reportedly have a very good relationship, and the "I Will Always Love You" singer even appeared on the Hannah Montana series a few times while it was on air. As it turns out, it was thanks to some of Dolly's advice that the anniversary special came to be.
"I learned this terrible habit — but I actually think it was good advice — from Dolly," Miley revealed in her Variety interview. "She told me that if you want something to happen, promote it before it exists. Then no one can say no. So I just started promoting a 'Hannah Montana' 20th-anniversary special that literally did not exist."
So, those who have been freaking out about the return of the famous Disney series have none other than Dolly Parton.
